Tourism Management Institute of Singapore (TMIS), formerly known as the Centre for Tourism-Related Studies (CTRS) was established in 1987. The corporate mission of TMIS is to upgrade the professionalism, service and productivity of the travel and tourism industry. Over the years, TMIS evolved to that of a full-fledge training provider that not only trains the current workforce but also to the public in Singapore and the region, providing job placements to attract new entrants to join the tourism industry.
TMIS, a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS), provides WSQ qualifications as well as internationally recognised diploma and certificate programmes. TMIS also provides training for the tourist guide course in both English and Chinese. Since its humble inception, we have trained more than 50,000 students for the tourism industry.
